[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

The following is being forwarded on behalf of the DAS-HRIS project



Does your agency utilize the User ID or RACF ID in any way?

The User ID is generated by Oregon state government's current personnel system, PPDB (Position and Personnel Database). This ID is an integral part of security access in many state government areas, from basic employee login credentials for individual agency shadow systems to enterprise-wide IT applications. The employee User ID is also commonly referred to as the "RACF ID" when it is applied in the RACF facility for granting security access to mainframe applications; this is different than the Employee Identification Number.

It is imperative that the HRIS Project Team gathers feedback from all areas where User IDs, or RACF IDs, are used. Feedback will be used to identify any areas of concern for implementation of the HRIS solution, which will replace PPDB.
