OSPS E-News ~ Pending leave payout requests in Workday

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Payroll professionals,

This is a reminder to process all the leave payout requests that are being done in Workday.  Vacation leave payouts should be processed when received and paid on the next applicable payroll run.  Any approved leave payouts in Workday should be entered on the November P050 screen in order to be paid to the employee on the December 13, 2019 pay date.  Any approved leave payouts received after final run 2 occurs on Monday should be entered in the December P050 screen to be paid on the January 1 pay date.

Currently in Workday there are over a 100 in progress requests.  Some are awaiting further action by the employee or the manager but most are awaiting action by a payroll partner.  Payroll offices can run the report 'AUD Requests in Process' report in Workday.  Once you pull up the report, under Request Type select Leave Payout (executive branch) and hit ok.

Any request that shows as awaiting action by a payroll partner (you will see your name or a name of someone in your payroll office) are the requests that should be processed.  If the name under Awaiting Action is the same as the initiator, the employee has not submitted their request.  If the name listed is the manager, the request is awaiting approval by the manager.

We have attached the process to follow in Workday when these request appear in your inbox.  In OSPA, payroll offices will make a VAP entry for the hours at the employee's equivalent hourly rate.
