Good Morning,
This is a reminder that Exempt W-4 forms expire. Please review your E370-06-1 report that are now available with your quarterly reports.
The 2022 W-4 for both Federal and State (two different forms) should be available on the OSPS website soon: http://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Payroll/Pages/forms.aspx Employees can also complete the electronic version on Workday, go to pay, then tax elections.
By February 1, payroll offices need to request a new Form W-4, Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate, from each employee who claimed exemption from income tax withholding last year.
On February 16, any Form W-4 previously given to Payroll claiming exemption from withholding has expired and you should begin withholding by adding an entry to the P010 screen. If the employee does not give you a new 2022 Form W-4, withhold tax as if he or she is single.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
Vangie Barizo
