Good morning Payroll Professionals,

DAS Workday Payroll has been working on analyzing various areas of payroll costs within Workday.  One area of concern was costing that was tied to object code 9999.  It is an invalid code which will error out in SFMA when sent from Workday.

DAS Workday Payroll has been reviewing audit reports, since March, for any object code with 9999 prior to closing payroll to prevent this from happening again.

However, there is some object code 9999 costs that has now been corrected. A T850 file (interface file for SFMA) has been reviewed and will be loaded into SFMA soon.  DAS SFMS will follow up on their eNews to inform agency accounting staff of when this is done.

There are 16 agencies on the interface file with a total cost of $113,722.80:

  *   $4.15, 3231 (Other State Insurance)
  *   $54,758.63, 3210 (PERS Pension)
  *   $58,960.02, 3198 (Penalty Pay) - 1 agency only

If agencies have questions on the details of the costs, please have them reach out to their SFMS analyst.

Lastly, some agencies have been seeing object code 9999 for the AOBJ in the Workday Datamart too.  DAS Workday Payroll will be working to remove some of that data from the Datamart that was sent erroneously (i.e., Earning:  Miscellaneous - Pre-retro process Payment).
