OSPS E-News ~ System fix for Medical Opt Out and Union Dues in months with multiple Run 1 pay dates

Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application osps-news at omls.oregon.gov

Good afternoon Payroll Partners,
We want to share some updates on Workday Payroll configurations that went into effect June 1, 2023 and will have no retroactive impact.
Union dues deductions in months with multiple pay dates:

  * The union dues issue that prevented more than one deduction in a month for some AFSCME, OPSA and OEA union dues has been updated. If agencies review pay results, they should see the deduction occurring in the June 30, 2023 pay period.

PEBB medical opt out payments in months with multiple pay dates:

  * For employees that opt out of PEBB medical insurance, a system configuration that prevented payments in months with multiple run 1 pay dates was updated.
  * Maximum payout is $233.00 minus $1.52 for employees with basic life.
  * Employees should see the medical opt out payment on June 30 pay
If employees at your agency still have outstanding issues with medical opt out or union dues, please create a case in case management so we can take a closer look at the issue. We appreciate your assistance.
Sincerely,
DAS Workday Payroll and Time Tracking Team
