Oregon State Social Security Administration is pleased to sponsor this years IRS/SSA Training on June 4 & 5.

The time to register is here! Attached you will find the Agenda and the Registration Form.

As always please feel free to pass the registration information to colleagues who work with Governmental entities, ie, CPA's, Professional Leagues, Legal. However, keep in mind the training is limited to those affiliated with Federal, State and Local Government entities.

New this year.....the training is two days instead of the one. You may choose to attend one day or both. Please make sure you put an "X"in the box for your preference when filling out the Registration Form. For CPA's and other professionals associated with a governmental employer please indicate which employer you are affiliated with.

For those of you that have not attended a training at this facility a map is attached.

Why GSA/BPA Building- Facility is free and the auditorium holds 502. As we know, the IRS specialists time for training has been cut tremendously. Therefore this facility makes the most of their time. 

Building entrance- East side of building off of 11th Ave


Parking- Several options ..... best long term is directly across from entrance. See the attached map for details.

Transportation - Easy access to the MAX for ease to lodging and airport


 
Important Security Information about the facility
 
1) To gain access to the facility you must have a valid, state or federally issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
 
2) PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY (For those of you who experienced last May's training you now understand why. Over 300 attended and those arriving just before 8:00 got to stand in line for a good half an hour or more to get through security).
 
You'll be.....
Signing in
Security screening.....removing shoes, belts and jackets, emptying pockets, passing handbags and other carried items through the x-ray
Entering at the same time employees of the building are entering
Going to the far end of the building and 
Maneuvering the coffee cart detour and
for the women making that last stop in the two or three stall restroom before
hitting the sign in sheets and picking up your name tag
Whew.....you're now ready to sit down and enjoy a day full of stimulating IRS and SSA speak! 
 
And it just get's better..........LUNCH
 
There is a cafeteria in the building with an array of delectable offerings. In addition Lloyd Center is only a few blocks away. See the attachment.
 
Lodging
 
For those staying overnight there are a number of hotels. See the attachment for a listing of nearby lodging.
 
Transportation
 
GSA/BPA is on the Max line. See attachment for website.
And if coming by Air, the Max runs to the airport.

Please complete attached registration and return appropriately. Please make sure to note if interested in CPE's. You will need to sign in and out on an additional sign in/out sheet at the seminar.
