[OYAN] Leadership Skills Web Course

Hi teen advocates,

If you can't get away from your library but are looking for a full, meaty professional development option that can be done from your desk, consider this one through YALSA.<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/onlinelearning/onlinecourses/building-basic-leadership-skills> It's a 4 week webinar series, approx. 12 hours total and from what I've heard, is a good way to practice some skills & build relationships with other folk doing similar work. It's also led by a pretty awesome Seattle public librarian named Josie.

If you are seeking buy-in for a community project, this might be especially useful to take and then say it's part of your class, you've gotta do it. :)

The course goes from April 30 -May 27th, and you do NOT have to be an ALA/YALSA member to register. If you end up taking it, please let us all know how your experience was!
