Who should attend?
 
State and local health department, tribal public health staff, and
other interested community partners (i.e. hospital, first responders,
law enforcement) who want a greater understanding of the information
presented in the tracks (see above).

Certificates
 
All participants completing an entire track will receive a certificate
of completion from the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice.
Continuing education credit may be available from the Oregon Health
Sciences University School of Nursing, the Oregon Health Licensing
Office, and IAW CHES guidelines.

Course Overview 
 
The Conference is sponsored by DHS Health Services and the Northwest
Center for Public Health Practice, University of Washington's School of
Public Health and Community Medicine.  Three concurrent training tracks
will be presented: Epidemiology, Management, and Public Health
Preparedness.
* Epidemiology for Public Health Workers is an introductory to
intermediate level course designed for public health personnel and other
partners in public health who need to understand or use data on health
and disease in public health settings.
* The Management track is a seminar focusing on managing public health
organizations, programs, resources, application of management policies,
basic principles of human resources management, and project and team
management. 
* Public Health Preparedness provides focus areas on: workforce
resiliency, risk communication, pharmaceutical preparedness, behavioral
and mental health issues, and vulnerable populations.
