TJ,

Please share among transportation supervisors.

This program functions like a lottery in that projects are funded by a random drawing from the pool of eligible applicants. Like a lottery, you can't win if you don't play. Oregon school districts have been successful in securing awards in every year the program has been offered since 2012. Oregon DEQ itself receives modest annual funding for diesel emission reduction using that to focus on school bus replacements. DEQ starts its selection process by offering funding to districts that have been unsuccessful in the EPA rebate program, so even "losers" can be successful in subsequent rounds.
