 applicants may appeal. Appeals are decided by the Oregon State Library's Board of Trustees at their December meeting.

</span>did not pass. However, the Legislature and Governor agreed to provide most of the additional funding the State Library requested for the expansion. Therefore next year R2R will be funded at $0.95 per child 0-14 years old! Please thank your local Legislators.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo4"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">        
</span></span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The Legislature was not opposed to expanding library grants to 15-17 year olds; they just didn’t think it aligned with the early learning goals. They suggest the State
 Library reexamine the R2R grant program, update it to align with the broader P-20 state education goals, and bring a new proposal to them next time.

 participate in the process of reexamination and alignment to statewide education goals. More information about this will be coming soon.
