<p class="MsoNormal">The Oregon Library Association (OLA) is trying to engage small, rural libraries in professional development. Many small, rural libraries are not on the kids-lib (children’s library services) or OYAN (‘tween and teen library services) email
discussion lists so aren’t getting information about it. Since the purpose of the Ready to Read grant is to improve early literacy and summer reading library services, I agreed to send the information about early literacy and summer reading professional development
out on the Ready to Read listserv to ensure all libraries are informed of these opportunities. I will be very selective about the professional development opportunities I share on this list to ensure they all relate to the purposes of the Ready to Read grant
and so you aren’t overwhelmed with too many emails. <o:p></o:p></p>
