*Dear Colleagues, The DREAM Center at Rock Creek campus will be hosting its
3rd annual DREAMers Scholarship Gala on Saturday, April 21, 2018. The
purpose of the event will be to collect funds for scholarships that will be
awarded to undocumented and DACAmented Portland Community College students
who have aspirations to further their education, but lack the economic
means to do so. These undocumented students, also known as Dreamers, face
many obstacles when trying to access higher education as they are not
eligible to apply for federal grants, loans, and most scholarships. As
members of Portland Community College, you and your departments know the
importance of education and the difference it can make in individual lives,
families, and whole communities. Show your commitment to PCC’s mission of
access, student success, diversity, equity, and inclusion by donating a
gift basket as a department. The baskets will be used as either raffle
items or for the silent auction to raise funds for these scholarships.We
