Position Summary

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) of Portland Community College
Rock Creek is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) part-time CAMP
Recruiter to facilitate recruitment and outreach efforts to on-board
eligible migrant students into the support program.

Candidate Profile

demonstration of these qualifications.

-Build partnerships with high schools to conduct outreach activities
-Strong communication skills to interact with partners, prospective student
applicants, and migrant community
-Good organization ability to track applicant application progress and
filing of admitted CAMP students
-Public speaking and presentation skills to share about the program
including services and activities

*Minimum Qualifications*

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum
qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates
you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s degree in student services, or other related field. Experience
performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement
on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in customer oriented or student centered experience advising
preferably in an academic environment.

Experience in public speaking, educational marketing and recruitment.

Strong organizational skills with experience in program coordination and/or
office management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

   - Considerable knowledge of academic marketing and recruitment methods.
   - Knowledge of effective principles used in developing an academic plan.
   - Knowledge of student success strategies and issues.
   - Knowledge of basic counseling principles.
   - Knowledge of effective office management techniques.
   - Skill in reading and evaluating transcripts.
   - Skill in developing individualized short- and long-term academic plans.
   - Skill in operating a computer and various supporting software packages.
   - Skill in project management, organization, and office management.
   - Ability to organize and effectively communicate a variety of
   information to diverse groups of people.
   - Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.


Position Grade 2
Starting Salary Expectations

*Starting Salary:*  $20.06 per hour to $21.49 per hour (Step 3) - based on
qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $20.06 to $34.8 Hourly Wage
FTE .50

*Paid Leave:* (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)

   - Starts at 13.33 hours of Vacation leave per month (additional vacation
   hours with years of services)
   - 1 day of Sick Leave per month
   - 11 Holidays
   - 3 Additional Personal Leave days per year

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is typically performed in
an office environment with a high level of public contact, both over the
phone and in person. During peak registration periods incumbents will
typically work extended hours, including some weekends. This position
requires travel within the community and PCC campuses using a personal
vehicle.
