The City of Sherwood is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and patron-focused customer service expert Library Assistant I to join our team of on-call staff. Come share your knowledge of library services and resources and help make Sherwood a great place to live and work! The Library Assistant I performs various duties within the Library requiring general knowledge of library operations, primarily in the circulation area, and including ready reference and readers' advisory at our blended circulation desk. The ideal candidate has direct experience working in public library circulation and a wide range of availability, including evenings and weekend shifts.

This on-call position does not have a regular weekly schedule. On-call staff help provide scheduling coverage for planned and unplanned absences for the circulation team. The library is open 7 days per week. Mondays - Thursdays 10:00am-8:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays 10:00am-6:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm-5:00pm.
