[Reforma_or] Job Posting: Beaverton City Library seeks PT bookmobile outreach specialist

Beaverton City Library is debuting a small, grant-funded bookmobile in summer 2023! We're outfitting a brand-new, all-electric Ford eTransit van to be a mobile branch of the library. It will provide weekly visits to sites around Beaverton, bringing books and other materials directly to the community for checkout. We're seeking an Outreach Specialist to help run the bookmobile. We're looking for someone who is:

  *   Enthusiastic about connecting with community members and organizations
  *   Excited to spend about 75% of your time out in the community
  *   Comfortable (or willing to get comfortable) driving a Ford eTransit van
  *   Detail-oriented and has top-notch planning skills
  *   Dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services
A priority for the bookmobile branch is to serve people who are underserved by the library, especially people whose first language is not English, including immigrants, and children and teens living in book deserts and attending schools with high levels of poverty.
