¡Hola a todos! The theme for Creando's 12th annual binational library conference is Unidos en la Diversidad: Embracing all Voices.

We seek presentations from public, academic & special libraries on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border on how you create meaningful connections through inclusion, play & community support, while also highlighting the importance of bilingual services & diversity.

We're also interested in featuring interactive, hands-on activities designed for communities of color, immigrants, refugees, LGBTQIA+, Spanish speakers/ESL resources, digital equity or binational collaborations.

Presentation Format Options:

Regular Session: 30 mins + 15 mins Q&A (ENG or ESP)

  *   Individual Presentation

  *   Panel Presentation: 2-3 library or community leaders answer questions from a moderator & share best practices.

  *   Library & Community Partners: 2-3 presenters share projects co-created w/community partners.

Interactive Activity Spaces: 45 mins. (ENG/ESP/BIL)

  *   1-2 presenters host casual, small capacity sessions of 15 or less leading a well-received interactive activity and how attendees can replicate it at their own sites.

If your projects align with our objectives, short proposals are due by Monday, December 16, 2024.

¡Hola a todos! El tema de la 12ª conferencia binacional anual de bibliotecas de Creando es Unidos en la Diversidad: Embracing all Voices.

Nosotros buscamos presentaciones que demuestren cómo las bibliotecas públicas, académicas y especiales de ambos lados de la frontera entre EE.UU. y México continúan creando conexiones significativas a través de la inclusión, el juego y el apoyo comunitario, al tiempo que resaltan la importancia de los servicios bilingües y la diversidad.

También nos interesa presentar actividades interactivas y prácticas diseñadas para comunidades de color, inmigrantes, refugiados, LGBTQIA+, hispanohablantes/recursos de ESL, equidad digital o colaboraciones binacionales.

Opciones de formato de presentación:

Sesión Regular: 30 mins + 15 mins Preguntas y respuestas (inglés o español)

  *   Presentación individual

  *   Panel de presentación: 2-3 library or community leaders answer questions from a moderator & share best practices.

  *   Bibliotecas y Socios Comunitarios: 2-3 presenters share projects co-created w/community partners.

Espacios de actividades interactivas: 45 minutos (inglés, español, biling.)

  *   1 o 2 presentadores organizan sesiones informales para grupos pequeños de 15 o menos demostrando una actividad interactiva que tiene o ha tenido buena aceptación y cómo los asistentes pueden replicarla en sus propios sitios.

Si sus proyectos se alinean con nuestros objetivos, se aceptarán propuestas breves hasta el lunes 16 de diciembre de 2024.
