We’re excited to share that the City of Cornelius is currently recruiting for a Library Information Technology position at the Cornelius Public Library!
This is a dynamic and vital role that blends customer service with innovation. The person in this position will help drive the library’s technology strategy, support both patrons and staff, and lead key IT projects while also developing and implementing STEM programs for the community.
Key responsibilities include:

  *
Administering library technology systems and hardware
  *
Creating and implementing tech solutions for staff and patron needs
  *
Analyzing and optimizing information systems and services
  *
Protecting sensitive/confidential data
  *
Collaborating with WCCLS, vendors, and other partners and City Departments
  *
Supporting tech aspects of employee onboarding/offboarding
  *
Developing and teaching library STEM programs for all ages

Minimum Qualifications:

  *
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information services, or related field
  *
At least 2 years of hands-on IT experience (system administration, customer support, scripting, etc.)
  *
Library tech experience (esp. with ILS) is a plus
  *
MS-102 Microsoft 365 Administrator certification required within 1 year

Timeline:

  *
