From Marcus.Cridge at oregon.gov Wed Mar 23 08:37:09 2016 From: Marcus.Cridge at oregon.gov (CRIDGE Marcus * DOR) Date: Wed, 23 Mar 2016 15:37:09 +0000 Subject: [Revenews] Form 132- New Column Message-ID: Withholding reporting changes for 2016 Tax fraud is on the rise nationally. The Department of Revenue is always looking for ways to stop fraud in Oregon and ensure state funds aren't mistakenly refunded to fraudsters. We've recently partnered with the Oregon Employment Department (OED) to reduce fraudulent refunds claimed against state withholding. We're asking any employers subject to unemployment insurance to help us by reporting state withholding amounts for Oregon employees in the new column 6 of Form 132. The new data field only applies to employees who you would normally report on Form 132. As there are several ways to report wage and withholding data, we've attached a chart with reporting instructions for each method. OED is in the process of updating these systems, and all systems should be ready for quarterly reporting before the end of March. There are no changes to the filing schedule, so you'll still file quarterly. Your report for the first quarter of 2016 is due by May 1, 2016. Additionally, this reporting doesn't change your W-2 reporting requirements. Please continue to electronically file your W-2s as required. For questions about reporting this additional data, please contact us at (503) 945-8100, extension 4, option 4. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
