OSBN Proposed Changes To Division 45

Dear Licensee;

This email contains two important messages concerning proposed changes to Division 45, Standards and Scope of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse.


1.      Please take this opportunity to read the Draft Division 45 (Standards and Scope of Practice for LPNs and RNs) for First Reading,  http://www.oregon.gov/OSBN/pages/draft_policies_rules.aspx, and email proposed edits and/or comments to Peggy Lightfoot as directed on the web page.

2.   Board staff has scheduled two Division 45 stakeholder meetings.  The meetings are open to all licensees and to the public.

*        Monday, September 15, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

*        Friday, October 17, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

You may attend in person or via OregonConnect/iLinc. RSVP by emailing the following information to Gretchen.Koch at state.or.us<mailto:Gretchen.Koch at state.or.us> :

*        Your full name

*        Type of practice setting

*        Your phone number

*        Your email address

*        The meeting date you wish to attend, and

*        Indicate if you will attend in person or via iLinc. If you indicate you will attend via iLinc, an invitation with internet log-in instructions and teleconference numbers will be emailed to you.

Note: Proposed edits and/or comments presented during the stakeholder meetings must be presented in writing.
