All Interested Parties:

The Oregon State Board of Nursing filed Notices of Proposed Rulemaking for Administrative Rule Hearing. The hearing for OAR 851-031 will be held on August 15, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.

The revisions to rules address:

  *   Changes as determined by the Board.
  *   Changes to align with HB 4003 to clarify requirements for Veterans seeking to challenge the national LPN exam if they were LPNs in the Army or Air Force.
  *   To make permanent the temporary rules adopted in February 2022 to align with HB 4003.

This hearing will be held in person at the Oregon State Board of Nursing located at 17938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, Portland, Oregon.

If you are unable to attend the in-person hearing and wish to provide written testimony* regarding the Administrative Rule hearings, please email the OSBN Rules Coordinator, Ruby Jason, at ruby.jason at osbn.oregon.gov<mailto:ruby.jason at osbn.oregon.gov>, no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 22, 2022. If email is not available, please mail written testimony to the Oregon State Board of Nursing, 17938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, Portland, OR, 97224. Please be sure to include your name and phone number and  the Administrative Rule Chapter(s) related to your testimony. The Board will consider the testimony and vote on the Administrative Rule amendments during the public session Board meeting on September 15, 2022.
