RE:      Part B OAR: Now Available!!!

 

ODE has completed its revisions of OARs to implement Part B of the IDEA
2004.  On April 19, 2007, the State Board of Education adopted the
proposed reorganization and rule amendments.  These OARs have been filed
with the Secretary of State and will be posted on the Secretary of
State's website.  In the meantime, the OARs as adopted by the Board are
on the ODE website at:

ODE received over 90 pages of comments on the proposed rules.  About a
third of these comments were actually clarification questions that staff
anticipate addressing through FAQs or guidance documents.  Of the
remaining comments, ODE made changes from the proposed rules, where
appropriate, and identified some issues for further consideration and
public input.
