Attached you will find a copy of a Q and A related to students with
second languages who also have a disability.  Several questions have
been asked regarding practices and policies.  This is the Department's
response to the first set of questions.  We apologize for the length of
time the vetting process has taken but we now feel confident with our
responses.  For more detailed information on special education issues
please feel free to contact Robbi Perry at robbi.perry at state.or.us .
For information on ELL in general education you should connect with the
Office of Educational Improvement and Innovation.   Please feel free to
share this document with others in your district who have an interest in
this topic.
