On Wednesday, August 17, from 1-3pm, the Oregon Department of Education will be holding a Webex webinar for Districts, about the new OAKS Online Braille Assessment.  This assessment will be available to blind and visually impaired students beginning November, 2011.  The paper/pencil version of the Braille Assessment is no longer available. This Webinar will describe the assessment and set up procedures, and prepare Districts for responsibilities. It is critical to have in attendance any network personnel as this interface requires the installation of additional hardware and software. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of the presentation. All Districts that currently have blind or visually impaired students that are eligible to take the OAKS Online Braille Assessment in November are required to participate in this webinar.
