Greetings, Self-Management Network members!

Please note: the upcoming general Network meeting will include a demonstration of the online self-management portal that the Oregon Health Authority plans to license on behalf of the Self-Management Network. The portal will allow online program scheduling, registration, data collection, and reporting for multiple chronic disease self-management programs.

I've attached a fact sheet about the portal tool, Compass by QTAC. For those who can't receive attachments, I've pasted the information in below.

Please save the date for the teleconference and webinar: March 19 from 1:00-2:30 PM. Registration information will follow in March.

Best regards,
Laura Chisholm

Compass by QTAC - NY is a unique online portal developed and operated by the Quality & Technical Assistance Center of NY. A national online registration and data management tool, Compass assists organizations in delivery and tracking of evidence-based health programs.

Key attributes:

* Meets all security standards. Compass holds a high-level security certificate, and uses system checks and a two-step user authentication process to meet HIPAA requirements. Logins are also recorded with timestamp and IP address, use of data is monitored and levels of access are role-based.

* Manages information. Compass manages partner organization, implementation sites, delivery personnel, workshop schedules, and participant attendance data and offers downloadable program-specific data forms.

* Meets CDC and Administration on Community Living (ACL) data collection requirements. A database/project management system specifically designed to meet CDC and ACL data collection requirements for Arthritis, CDSME and the National Diabetes Prevention Programs. Also meets CDC data collection requirements for Falls Prevention Programs.

* Generates reports. Users may generate printable real-time reports for their workshop activity including types of workshops held, locations, attendance, completion rates and participant demographics.

* Marketing benefits. Capacity to develop a state-specific interface with a searchable "find-a-workshop" function by zip code.

* Adapts to ever-changing program guidelines and needs. Routine updates are implemented with opportunity to benefit from enhancements developed for other users.
