font-family:"Courier New"'>The flat upper-level ridge is forecast to get forced
east of the state Sunday by a strengthening southwesterly flow aloft. A weak
surface thermal trough will shift over the region by late in the day, with
decreasing transport winds and warmer temperatures. Southwesterly flow aloft
will increase Monday and Tuesday with the surface thermal trough slowly
progressing eastward across the region. Eastern zones will likely have light
transport winds, with even warmer temperatures, while increasing onshore flow
brings several degrees of cooling to the western zones. There may be enough
instability for late-day showers and thunderstorm to develop over the eastern
mountains on Monday, with a much better chance of showers and thunderstorms
over mainly the eastern mountains by Tuesday. Smoke dispersal conditions
should be good during the outlook period, although transport winds will be
mostly light and somewhat variable over the eastern zones.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
