MICHAEL CLAY THOMPSON AND ED ZACCARO TO SPEAK TO PARENTS AND TEACHERS
The Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted (OATAG) has announced
that
Michael Clay Thompson and Ed Zaccaro will be the keynote speakers at the
OATAG fall conference, "Challenging High End Learners at School and at
Home". The conference will take place at the Village Green Resort,
Cottage
Grove, on Friday October 12. and Saturday October 13.
Teacher, author, and consultant, Michael Clay Thompson serves on the
Board
of Directors of the National Association for Gifted Children and edits
Our
Gifted Children. His books include The Magic Lens, the Word within the
Word, Classics in the Classroom, and the Sesquipedalian Neologist's
Lexicon.
Ed Zaccaro is the author of the Challenge Math series, Real World
Algebra,
The Ten Things all Future Mathematicians and Scientists Must Know (But
are
Rarely Taught, and Becoming a Problem Solving Genius. His entertaining
and
enthusiastic presentations have become popular across the country. He
has
advocated for gifted students as a teacher, parent and school board
member.
