Andrea,
I have sent this already to the OATAG list-serv, of which I am a member.
But if you have other email distribution lists, I would appreciate it if
you would send this information to them.
Thank you!

Summer Writing Workshop
Since 1989, Lewis & Clark College has hosted an annual residential
writers' workshop for high school students, called the Fir Acres
Workshop in Writing and Thinking. This workshop is modeled after the
critical writing and thinking course required of all entering freshmen
at Simon's Rock College of Bard.

Fir Acres creates a community where students completing grades 8-12 come
together in small groups to explore their voices as writers and to learn
how to think critically through writing. This is not specifically a TAG
program, and draws students with a wide variety of backgrounds. However,
it would appeal to creative thinkers and those interested in writing as
a means of self-expression. This year, the workshop will be held from
June 29th - July 11th. For more information, visit
www.lclark.edu/org/firacres.

Summer Sessions Courses
Academically advanced high school students capable of college-level work
may take an undergraduate class at L&C after a "mini-application"
process and instructor approval. Regular semester courses are offered
in a 6-week, intensive format which usually involves 2 hour classes each
day, 4 days a week. Session I is May 19-June 27, and Session II is June
30-August 8. No housing is available for high school students attending
Summer Sessions. For information on Summer Sessions courses, see
http://www.lclark.edu/org/casummer/schedule.html.

For further information, please call or email me using the contact
information below. Thank you!
