          Dear Colleague:

Since 1993, the Steering Committee on Telehealth and Healthcare Informatics
has convened more than 120 widely attended, publicly available educational
lunch sessions and technology demonstrations on Capitol Hill.

In June of 2008, the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society
announced that the series would continue through the managerial leadership
of a new "Institute for e-Health Policy" within the HIMSS Foundation.

Thanks to the ongoing support of our sponsors including major federal
agencies, healthcare and information technology organizations,
University-based programs and private sector groups - we will continue to
provide timely programming featuring the nation's leading experts at no cost
to participants. All we ask is that you RSVP in advance of particular
sessions to Neal Neuberger, Executive Director Institute for e-Health
Policy <neal at e-healthpolicy.org>so that we may plan accordingly.

Continuing Honorary Steering Committee Co-Chairs are: Senators Kent Conrad
(D-N.D.); Mike Crapo (R-ID); Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), John Thune, (R-S.D.)
and Representatives Eric Cantor (R-VA); Rick Boucher (D-VA); Bart Gordon
(D-TN); Allyson Schwartz (D-PA); David Wu (D-OR); and Phil English (R-PA).

The Steering Committee is also pleased to be coordinating many activities
with the "House 21st Century Health Care Caucus", Co-Chaired by Reps.
Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) and Tim Murphy (R-PA).
