[ORTCCTelehealth-TAO] We fell short on the Udall Amendment

Good Morning Everyone,

Over the weekend we were not able to get the Udall amendment included in the
Manager's Amendment (the package of amendments allowed to be added by Sen.
Reid), and at this point the credentialing and privileging by proxy that we
so need will not be included in this Senate version of the Health Care
Reform package.  While the outcome of this battle is disappointing, the war
is not over yet.  Folks in Washington are already working on Plan B.

Thank you to all of you who took the time to write Senators Wyden and
Merkley thanking them for their co-sponsorship of the amendment.  Regardless
of whether you were among those folks, please take a moment out of you busy
holiday week to write an additional note to each thanking them for their
role and for their support of telehealth in general.  We will need their
help again.

I will keep you posted regarding the new strategy and what you can do to
help.
