announce *

*OCHIN will be hosting an EHR/HIT workshop for the second year in a row.*

*The upcoming workshop will be hosted by *

*OCHIN, Inc., (formerly known as Oregon Community Health Information
Network) *

*July 29th-30th, 2009 in Portland, Oregon.*



*WORKSHOP GOALS:*

At the end of the workshop; participants will be able to identify key
elements for successful EHR implementation and provider adoption, and
develop a strategic plan for EHR planning, vendor selection and
implementation.



This vendor-neutral EHR workshop is specifically designed to help
organizations with the following:

§         Craft a strategic planning and stakeholder buy-in process

§         Develop of a trans disciplinary implementation team

§         Identify strengths and challenges associated with “going it alone”
versus joining a network

§         Develop a vendor selection process

§         Develop staff and provider training

§         Understand key elements for successful implementation and provider
adoption,

§         Understand that EHR adoption is not an end point in and of it self
but the beginning of a new way of providing healthcare
