       *"The issue of telehealth licensure consultation by itself is
complicated, now multiple that times 50 states, with 50 different
consultation laws, and you have a real mind-bender.  If you do not have a
true understanding of how these laws apply to telehealth, it may impact your
telehealth program. I mean, to the point it could shut it down."*

 This quote was taken from a telehealth provider who contacted CTeL after
being unable to decipher all 50 state telehealth consultation requirements.
There is no national licensure law - meaning that licensure laws vary among
states. Those looking to implement a national telehealth program need to be
knowledgeable about each state's licensure laws.

In efforts to help the community gain a better understanding of physician
licensure consultation laws and regulations, and how state licensure boards
view telehealth consultations, CTeL is hosting a Brown Bag Telehealth
Seminar on August 9th, titled *Telehealth Licensure Consultation: How State
Medical Boards Review the Process.*

three experts:

   - *Lisa Wynn: *Executive Director of the Arizona State Medical Board;

   - *Kevin Bohnenblust: *Executive Director of the Wyoming State Medical
   Board; and
