*Greetings!*
You are invited to attend the next NRTRC Open Mic Webinar, part of our
ongoing education series for folks who are interested in Telehealth.
*About this program*:
Please join Doug Romer as he speaks on the changes made in a critical
access hospital after utilizing telemedicine.
Take-Aways;
- How a 25 bed critical access hospital has evolved a hub and spoke
telemedicine program into a remote presence health care network serving
patients with both in and out patient specialty services from providers
around the country
- The positive impact telemedicine has in health care reform
- The role of the electronic Health record as an adjunct to providing
telehealth services
*Presented by: Doug Romer, RN*
Doug Romer is the Executive Director of Patient Care Services and Chief
Nursing Officer at Grande Ronde Hospital, a twenty-five bed critical access
hospital located in rural northeast Oregon. Doug has over thirty-five
years experience in the healthcare industry including Surgical Services
management, performance improvement, accreditation and licensure. Doug
serves on the Board of the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center
and the Telehealth Alliance of Oregon. Doug is the telemedicine
coordinator for Grande Ronde Hospital and has implemented several
successful telemedicine programs that have increased access and quality of
care for its rural community. Some of these telemedicine advances are
“firsts in the nation” and Grande Ronde continues to build on those
successes.
