Greetings,
It's been two weeks since the last digest. Things are starting to slow
down for the summer events and the TAO workload is beginning to grow so I
will be posting a digest every two weeks for the foreseeable future. If
there is an event that does not fit the timeline, I will create a separate
posting. Let me know what you think.
*TAO News:*
1. SB 144: The bill is scheduled for a work session in the House Health
Care Committee on Monday, May 11th. That means that the Committee will
most likely vote on the bill and most likely will be passed onto the House
floor.
2. TAO Board Retreat: The TAO Board of Directors Retreat is scheduled for
May 28-29 in Lebanon. At that time we will replenish our three standing
committees and our Summit 2016 committee. The three standing committees
are Policy, Membership and Finance and Education. * If you (or your
organization) are a member of TAO and would like to serve on one of these
committees, please send me a message with your name, organization, a brief
biosketch and the committee you are interested in*. If you have questions
about these committees please feel free to contact me using the information
below.
3. TAO has a new member: Jeffrey Dana is a graduate student at OHSU
School of Medicine. He is studying telemedicine and it's uses in
population health management. He is also a Captain/Paramedic for the City
of Gresham Fire and Emergency Services.
Welcome Jeffrey!
