Please join HiMSS for their annual Spring Conference, The Balancing Act:
Population Health and Security. The event will take place at the Embassy
Suites Downtown Portland on May 17, 2016.

As healthcare organizations across the continuum of care progress toward
interoperability goals to support population health, and the volume of
patient data collected through new systems and innovative bio devices
increases, the security of that data as it passes through new avenues and
byways has become an undeniable imperative. Balancing the availability and
accessibility of data with the multiple levels of protection necessary is
tricky. Attend the HIMSS Oregon Annual Spring Conference to hear how
national and local organizations are weighing the needs of both sides and
developing solutions to achieve this balance.

On top of a visionary keynote speaker and general sessions, there will be
two tracks with three sessions each, including lectures and expert panels
who will share their views on these important topics. Contributors from all
areas of healthcare will be presenting their topics on Population Health
and Security.

The Population Health sessions will include a discussion of how one local
company has culled a 98% participation rate of employees utilizing
biometric screenings and correlating that with health assessment data; a
session that explores the integration of social determinants of health into
a regional CCO and HIE; and a session that looks at the development and
utilization status of financial and clinical data by an Oregon based
provider/payer run enterprise.

Security topics will cover security considerations of the cloud, the
pitfalls of purchasing cyber insurance and how healthcare organizations are
addressing some of the key security issues facing us today.

Please bring your questions and join us for an informative conference with
industry leading keynote speakers, panel members, and interactive breakout
sessions. The 2015 conference sold out weeks ahead of the event. Receive
discount pricing by registering before April 17: $90 for HIMSS Members,
$129 Non-HIMSS Members, $30 for HiMSS Member Students with valid ID and $40
Non-HIMSS Students. For more event information and to register please go
