[TAO] Fwd: Urgent - Broadband Funding Announcement

This announcement for Broadband funding for projects in areas of Oregon
that are considered underserved (see definitions in the announcement).
This is not a competitive grant, rather it is a rolling grant offering and
applications will be considered for funding as soon as they are received.
The timeline to submit is very short - applications must be submitted by 5
pm on July 2nd.  There is also a very short timeline for completing the
project - December 30, 2020.

The application is not lengthy and would be ideal for those of you who have
already defined and discussed your broadband needs, or have some funding
allotted for a project but need additional funds to complete it. The grant
does not need to benefit only COVID patients, but can be used to benefit
anyone whose healthcare needs are not being met due to the lack of
broadband.

There is $10,000,000 in the pot, so please consider how some of that might
meet your needs for broadband.

Attached is the announcement of a Request for Applications for $10,000,000
in available funding for broadband projects to the Rural Broadband Capacity
Program. I have also attached the Application Form. Information is also
posted on the Oregon Broadband Office website at www.broadband.oregon.gov.



The timeframes for this relief program are:

·       Applications are due by July 2, 2020 by 5:00 pm Pacific Time

·       Award offers will be made as soon as possible until all funds are
committed
