[TAO] Telehealth Alliance of Oregon says goodbye

Greetings,

It is with a lot of mixed emotions that the TAO Board of Directors is
announcing the closure of our non-profit as of April 30, 2023.  Since
before its incorporation in 2005, the Alliance has worked diligently to
develop a strong and collaborative telehealth community in Oregon. Now it
is time for the formal organization to step down.  The reasons are many -
lack of adequate funding, the aging of the staff (Jo and I have only 25
years left to accomplish our bucket lists😄), and the maturing of
telehealth knowledge and community in Oregon. There have been so many
positive changes both in broadband and telehealth in the last few years,
and we trust that you all are ready, willing and able to help carry on with
the tasks still needed to be done.

Many of you now have access to telehealth and broadband information through
your organizations and through the regional and national organizations that
have been established in the years since TAO was formed.  Oregon's
telehealth community is strong and growing.  In an effort to keep
telehealth and broadband information and resources available, we will be
keeping the TAO listserv open.  We hope to use it as a vehicle for
communication throughout our Oregon community.  If you are not currently a
member and would like to be, just let me know.  TAO's website will continue
to be open through June.

It  has been a pleasure to work with all of you throughout the years.  We
look forward to staying in touch and will be available to help with your
information needs.
