[TL-Directors] 2003-2008 LSTA Five Year Plan Evaluation Available

The evaluation of the 2003-2008 Oregon LSTA Five Year Plan which conducted by the consulting firm of Himmel & Wilson is now available on the State Library website at: http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/LD/lsta.shtml
The report is available in both PDF and Word documents. It is broken into several parts including the main body of the report as well as several appendices. If you have trouble downloading the report please contact Val Vogt at 503-378-2525 for a hard copy. 
The evaluation was presented to the Oregon State Library Board at their February 7th meeting and will now be submitted to the Institute of Museum and Library Services by March 31, 2007 as required. 
Many of you participated in the surveys and focus groups that were held in the fall of 2006 which contributed a great deal to the evaluation. The State Library has contracted with Himmel & Wilson to assist in the development of the 2008-2012 LSTA Five Year Plan. They will again be soliciting feedback from the library community and we will be encouraging you to participate through our regular communication channels. We are currently assembling an advisory group to work with Himmel & Wilson and the State Library staff to develop the 2008-2012 Five Year Plan which must be submitted to IMLS by June 30, 2007.
