Our meet and tour is just one week away! So I am resending the original email - just in case:)

Hello to all Library Directors in the state of Oregon!

*         Meet our newest consultant for Answerland!

The Library Support and Development Services Division<http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/LD/Pages/index.aspx> would like to invite you to visit the Oregon State Library<http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/pages/index.aspx> on Monday, June 13, 2016, from 9:30 - 2:00. You will meet with Library Support and Development Services consultants and Talking Book and Braille Library staff. You will also get a tour of the State Library and there will be plenty of time for staff to answer any questions.

If you have other staff that you would like to attend, feel free to bring them!

You are welcome to stay for a no-host lunch with the Library Support and Talking Books staff after the tour. Instead of going out to lunch, I will be ordering lunch to be delivered around 12:30 pm. I will be sending options with prices as RSVP's are received.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

Funding & CE Opportunity for Rural, Small & Tribal Library Staff
Now through August 1st, small rural and tribal library staff can apply to be a part of a cohort of learners and do-ers who will create college and career readiness (CCR) services for the middle schoolers in their community.  Successful applicants will receive a wide variety of support, including access to mentors, a stipend to purchase CCR materials, and funds to travel to Atlanta, GA, Jan. 19 - 20, 2017 for orientation, as well as to another conference of their choice. Cohort members will work online throughout 2017 to develop, implement and evaluate a CCR service with a partner in their community. Hi Tribal Library Directors,

I coordinate the statewide summer reading program for all ages. Would you like a staff person at your library to be on the statewide summer reading email listserv? It's a very low-traffic listserv I use to keep libraries informed about a few statewide summer reading resources. It's a closed list, I only allow one person from each library to be on it in an effort to ensure clear communication.

If you would like to start receiving summer reading information and resources, please send the email address of the one person at your library who should receive summer reading information.
