From Jean.L.Gabriel at state.or.us Tue May 1 09:28:31 2007 From: Jean.L.Gabriel at state.or.us (GABRIEL Jean L * DAS SCD) Date: Tue, 1 May 2007 09:28:31 -0700 Subject: [travel-card_news] Updated Travel Card Policy, Procedure and Agreement Form Message-ID: <4875EF345085BE48B9C4B7CA341EFB686B48EC@exchnode01.ad.state.or.us> Travel Card Coordinators, As discussed during the April 12 Travel Card Training, the policy and procedure in the Oregon Accounting Manual (OAM) related to Travel Advances and the Corporate Travel Card have been updated effective today, May 1. In conjunction with this, the related Corporate Travel Card Agreement (form 75.40.03.FO) has also been updated. It is important that you begin using the new Corporate Travel Card Agreement immediately for new card applications because it reflects essential elements of the newly updated policy; in particular, the 90 day past due cancellation policy. Please replace the older version of this form in your internal agency procedures. The primary changes to the policy and procedure include the following: * Effective May 1, 2007, changed 60 day past due cancellation policy to 90 days past due cancellation (see policy for specifics) * Travel advances are now allowed to be issued without requirement for agency head exception approval * Updated references to previous US Bank system (C.A.R.E.) for current US Bank system (Access On-line) * Added information regarding corporate travel card rebate * Added information regarding US Bank's process for purging travel card accounts We appreciate the feedback we received during the comment period, which helped us improve clarity of the policy provisions. The final updated policy, procedure and form are effective May 1, 2007 and can be accessed at the link below. http://egov.oregon.gov/DAS/SCD/SARS/oam_toc.shtml Thanks, Jean Gabriel, CPA Statewide Accounting & Reporting Services Manager State Controller's Division (503) 373-7277 ext. 253 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
