[Travel_Policy-News] New per diem rate effective 10/01/07

Travel Coordinators: 

The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced that the
standard lodging per diem rate will be $70.00/night, effective October
1, 2007 for Federal agencies. Our intent in State Travel Policy is to
mirror those federal rates.

Therefore, OAM 40.10.00.PO Appendix A will be amended to state that,
effective October 1, 2007, our rate structure is "based on a standard
rate of $70 for lodging and $39 for meals." 

This change affects all employees. The HRSD Labor Relations Unit has
previously notified employee union representatives that the rates would
go up on October 1, 2007.  If HRSD receives any objections, the affected
agencies will receive direction from HRSD.
