[Travel_Policy-News] Annual Travel Awards Reporting

Travel Coordinators,  

This is a reminder that April 1 is the deadline for submitting your
agency's report on Travel Awards for calendar year 2009.  This report
should include a detailed list of the specific travel awards earned
during the year and the specific travel awards used during the year.
The report should also have the approximate dollar value of those travel
awards that were used or redeemed. The dollar value of the travel awards
used or redeemed during the year are considered the total cost savings
to the agency.  A reminder also that, unless specifically exempted
otherwise by statute, the awards reporting applies to agencies of the
state as defined in ORS 291.002.

The report may be in a letter format and must be signed by the Agency
Head or designee. A report is required to be submitted whether there
were travel
awards earned/used or not. 

Oregon Accounting Manual Policy 40.10.00.PO "Statewide Travel Policy"
paragraph .136 describes this reporting which is required by ORS
292.230.
