[Travel_Policy-News] Postponement of change to paragraph .116

Travel Coordinators:
 
An issue has developed regarding the change to non-commercial lodging
per diem in paragraph .116 of the travel policy. We have pressed our IRS
contact to research the issue further and are postponing the
implementation of this particular change until after the issue has been
resolved. Until that time, we will not be implementing the change to
paragraph .116 and are advising agencies to not tax the the
non-commercial lodging reimbursements until further notice.
 
The changes to paragraph .118 will be implemented as scheduled on July
1, 2010.
 
Thank you for your patience as we research this issue. We will be
notifying agencies once it is resolved.
