[Travel_Policy-News] Travel Awards and Other Changes

I have had some trouble sending messages via the Travel Policy News
List, but was able to get help from the State Library yesterday.  I am
resending the message below regarding the reporting of travel awards.
In addition, until we hire Scott Smyth's replacement, please send your
travel questions to my attention.

Hello Travel Coordinators,  

 

This is a reminder that April 1 is the deadline for submitting your
agency's report on Travel Awards for calendar year 2010.  This report
must include a detailed list of the specific travel awards earned during
the year and the specific travel awards used during the year. The report
should also provide the approximate dollar value of the travel awards
that were used or redeemed. The dollar value of the travel awards used
or redeemed is considered the total cost savings to the agency. Also,
unless specifically exempted by statute, the awards reporting applies to
agencies of the state as defined in ORS 291.002.

The report may be in a letter format and must be signed by the Agency
Head. Your agency must submit a report whether or not travel awards were
earned or redeemed.

describes the reporting requirements contained in ORS 292.230.
