[Travel_Policy-News] Travel Policy Update coming tomorrow

Hello Travel Policy Contacts,

As many of you know, the US General Services Administration (GSA) updates the per diem rates for meals and lodging every October 1. The standard per diem rates have not changed from the prior year: $96 for lodging and $55 for meals. However, it's possible that the rates for the Non Standard Areas, which are itemized on the GSA website have changed.

For sake of consistency, we will be updating OAM 40.10.00 Statewide Travel Policy (link<https://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Acctng/Documents/40.10.00.pdf>) tomorrow, coinciding with the newly effective dates. Other than the changing of dates of the OAM, the only change is in Appendix A, as follows:

Effective October 1, 2020, the standard rate is $96 for lodging and $55 for meals. The standard rates have not changed from prior year but the Non Standard Areas (NSA) rates which are itemized on the GSA website may have changed.
