[Travel_Policy-News] Statewide Travel Policy Update - per diem rates for meals and lodging

Hello Travel Policy Contacts,

As many of you know, the US General Services Administration (GSA) updates the per diem rates for meals and lodging every October 1. The standard per diem rate for lodging did not change from the prior year, remaining at $96, but the standard per diem rate for meals did increase from $55 to $59.  OAM 40.10.00 Statewide Travel Policy (link<https://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Acctng/Documents/40.10.00.pdf>) has been updated for this change, which is found in Appendix A. No other changes occurred other than updating the effective dates. Below is the updated sentence:

Effective October 1, 2021, the standard rate is $96 for lodging and $59 for meals. The standard lodging rate has not changed from the prior year, nor have the Non Standard Areas (NSA) rates which are itemized on the GSA website.
