Good afternoon,

With the changes to the CHRO Policy Working Remotely, the Statewide Travel Policy<https://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Acctng/Documents/40.10.00.pdf> has been updated to reflect those changes. The most noticeable change will be when determining mileage reimbursements, employees must deduct the mileage from their residence to their central workplace, an alternate workplace that is not their residence, or mobile workplace, even if the employee works from their residence everyday or nearly everyday. Similarly, any costs incurred to travel from their residence to their central workplace, an alternate workplace that is not their residence, or mobile workplace would be a personal cost and not eligible for reimbursement, examples would include, but not be limited to, airfare, hotel, meals, and parking at the central or alternate workplace. Additional comprehensive examples have been included at the end of the policy to help travelers and agencies.

As always, if there are questions about the Statewide Travel Policy, please contact the SARS Statewide Travel Policy team at SWTP.SARS at das.oregon.gov<mailto:SWTP.SARS at das.oregon.gov>.

Thank you,

Rob

To all Executive Branch employees,

As Oregon state government continues to reimagine the possibilities for the state workforce and we all continue to adjust after the pandemic, changes to the statewide working remotely policy were needed. Like any other organization, state government has had to make adjustments and shifts as we learn how best to conduct business in an environment that can embrace more flexibility, including remote work.

The policy is <https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDAsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsInVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3Lm9yZWdvbi5nb3YvZGFzL1BvbGljaWVzLzUwLTA1MC0wMS5wZGYiLCJidWxsZXRpbl9pZCI6IjIwMjMwODMxLjgxOTM4NDUxIn0.ktJWtxkAhkl7Psd2cMW5zeoT6hxp8ayVlZxwd51olxo/s/2193038992/br/225125339689-l> effective tomorrow, Sept. 1, 2023<https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDEsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsInVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3Lm9yZWdvbi5nb3YvZGFzL1BvbGljaWVzLzUwLTA1MC0wMS5wZGYiLCJidWxsZXRpbl9pZCI6IjIwMjMwODMxLjgxOTM4NDUxIn0.msDZ19qdTNuBIE4W-yciz9kax1WBDtG3b_RzWxRfs18/s/2193038992/br/225125339689-l>, and revisions and updates include:
