[yscon] Summer Reading Workshops

Will was the main presenter at our big workshop for 200+ children's services people a few years ago. He did a great job. He was knowledgeable, funny, and easy for me to work with.  He received great reviews from attendees.

I received the email too and was glad to know what he is doing now.

I also received an email from him. I don’t know either – the librarians on our summer reading committee do all the workshops ourselves. We used to hire someone but it’s just easier for us to do it.

Greetings,

My name is Will Stuck and I am writing you today in regards to summer reading workshops. As a children’s librarian for twenty years I found that attending a state library provided summer reading workshop was a great way to generate ideas and motivation. During that time, I was fortunate enough to be asked by the Missouri State Library to present those workshops on five occasions.

As of this past June, I am no longer a children’s librarian but a professional speaker and entertainer. I speak at staff trainings, perform summer reading and other library shows and am still being asked to present workshops, both library related and non-library.

If your state offers summer reading workshops or other programming related workshops for the librarians in your area, I would love the opportunity to submit a bid or RFP to present.
