At previous in person meetings, during the CSLP Annual Meeting or ALA conferences, we have discussed submitting ALA conference proposals.
I’m passing along this reminder I just received with the proposal deadline of August 25, 2017.
Didn’t know if anyone was interested and had any ideas?

To ASCLA Committee and Interest Group Leaders

This is a reminder that the process for selecting programs for the FY2018 ALA Annual Conference is streamlined this year with an common online proposal form ALA groups (including Committees and Interest Groups) as well as individuals may propose programs. The deadline for submission is August 25.  ASCLA Groups should request by the ASCLA Division jury.

For questions about process the past chair/mentor of the ASCLA Conference Program Selection Committee (Jury) is Ray James (erayjames at gmail.com<mailto:erayjames at gmail.com>) and the new chair of that committee is Lydia Collins (lydia at pitt.edu<mailto:lydia at pitt.edu>)

I am also attaching Conference Program Planning documents including the Program Review Guidelines and Tips for Conference Program Planning.
