[yscon] Deaf-inclusive SRP initiatives?

Good morning,

Is anyone involved in a statewide or other shared effort to provide summer reading program/summer library program activities, resources, etc. that are inclusive of and accessible to deaf children and their deaf or hearing parents/families?

And/or, do you know of any library in your state that offers a deaf-inclusive SRP/SLP that could be replicated, adapted, scaled, or just used for inspiration?

I'm also interested in learning about other deaf-inclusive library-based reading/literacy and early literacy initiatives, besides SRP.

We have been approached by a citizens' group that wants to increase library awareness of and responsiveness to  deaf cultures, and to increase and promote library SRP and other reading/literacy supports for deaf children and teens in Ohio. I'd like to learn for my own background knowledge, and to share with them, any successful models from other states. I hope that exploring successful library practices and partnerships out in the field can help this group focus its energy and develop achievable goals, and help me be a useful resource person and partner to them.
