Suicide Prevention Week this year is September 10-16. The American
Association of Suicidology (AAS) has a full "Information and Media Kit"
of materials for raising awareness in your local community, county, or
state around suicide prevention. You can download their kit at:

Are you planning on holding events or taking actions to raise awareness
of suicide prevention that week? Let the listserv know what you are
doing! You might find an interested helper you didn't know was out there
in cyberspace, inspire others by your activities, or create a networking
community. Who knows?
 
The kit from AAS looks very complete - with everything from governor's
or mayor's proclamations to public service announcements to sample
op-eds. There are fact sheets and other resources. I can send you an
Oregon fact sheet or links for statistical information on
Oregon-specific suicides and attempts. You can find many of these and
